‘Too Close to the Sun’ - PRINT

This painting was borne out of a period of intense creativity by the artist and draws inspiration from the natural world. Colours and shapes appearing in dreams at night, chasing those dreams on the canvas by day. This series explores the relationship between order and chaos and the inability of one to exist without the other. There is a sense of abundance - colour and shapes spilling in and out the canvas, moving between abstract and realistic. Colours of a light ray with a hint of gold (gold subtly hand painted onto the print by the artist).

Sonia Chrystall is a Hawkes Bay, NZ artist who paints in an abstract-realistic style – colours and many layers that take themselves in their own direction. She paints intuitively, allowing the painting to take on a life and a meaning of its own. And there has to be colour - “I want people to experience some crazy, beautiful colour happiness.”

This is a giclee print on high-quality, textured cotton rag paper (frame not included).

Sizes shown are image sizes, there is a 25mm white border around the image.

All prints are sent rolled in a postage tube with a tracking number.

FRAMING TIPS

- Prints should be framed behind glass for protection.
- Frame with or without a mat border (mount), but a mat border will make the print stand out.
- My framing suggestions are white/lighter coloured frames.
